Spartanburg, SC, manufacturer seeking Senior Lab Technician.

SUMMARY Performs testing of various cleanroom products to assist Quality, Production, Research and Development, and Marketing in their integrated goal of product improvement through detailed investigation and data collection.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. -Release product to warehouse upon completion of all acceptable testing. -Organize, verify completion of results of all testing, put data in computer, and file all batch information. -Routinely perform particle/fiber and sorbency testing on laundered wipers to monitor production lot quality. -Routinely go in the Cleanroom and help with the training, testing and maintenance of testing equipment. -Periodically perform extractables testing on material samples. -Periodically perform air monitoring of cleanroom areas. -Help manage the ETR testing and review ETR results. -Insure proper supplies are on hand to perform testing. -Insure labs’ equipment are maintained and cleaned as necessary. -Prep laundered samples for ion testing and perform ion testing on laundered wipes. -Analyze ion data. -Prep chemicals and perform GC and GCMS testing -Analyze and trouble shoot results and issues on the GC and GCMS data. -Periodically calibrate the GC and GCMS. -Proof read work procedures and submits changes to procedures as needed. -Help with method development and validation. -Communicate changes and information from Quality Management to other Quality Techs on their shift. -Help with training Quality Techs on new or revised procedures. -Periodically inventory lab supplies and order lab supplies as needed. -Fill out MRB paperwork on any testing failures to turn in to Quality Supervisor by the end of their shift. -Create COC/COA/COS Templates as needed. -Place goods in REJ Hold, enter QIMs, and initiate QIM investigations when needed. -Understand the MRB process; Reject and Rework. -Communicate information to the Quality Facilitators about issues on their shift. -Understand generation of Control Plans and process.

 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Although this job has no supervisory responsibilities, the Sr. Lab Technician will be expected to make critical process and product decisions during the shift and demonstrate leadership for the shift.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Associate's degree or equivalent from 2 yr college/Tech school: or 6 months to a year of related experience and/or training.
